In the first podcast of 2016, Austin, Jeremy and Kevin welcome former Baylor, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans linebacker Elliot Coffey to the show. Coffey and the guys break down some of the highlights of the college football bowl season, including big wins for the Baylor Bears and the Houston Cougars in the Russell Athletic Bowl and Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, respectively.
Coffey shares his thoughts on Tom Herman and Art Briles, and commends them for the jobs they’re doing at the two universities. He then shares some thoughts about the nature of pro football, delving into the Houston Texans turnaround this season, and what it means to lose offensive tackle Duane Brown, and what a troubling history of concussions means for starting quarterback Brian Hoyer.
The guys then break down the year that was 2015, before Kevin lapses into conniptions about the pitiful state of the Rockets. The guys wish everyone a Happy New Year and Kevin gives a pass on the lack of new iTunes reviews, given the holidays and such.
