Mount Rushmore of Houston Sports; sports figures’ political campaign contributions

Welcome to the 36th episode of The Weekly Brew podcast. With Austin overseas (Germany, Israel), we finally dig out the long-awaited segment from a couple of weeks back in which Kevin challenges Austin and Jeremy to guess which political campaigns various sports figures have donated to. Austin (who swears up and down he didn’t cheat and read the article, and we here at the podcast are giving him the benefit of the doubt) absolutely crushes the game-show-style quiz, while Jeremy talks himself out of correct answer after correct answer, unable to get out of his own way.

Finally, Kevin and Jeremy take some of the most influential, famous sports figures in Houston history (names like Hakeem Olajuwon, Earl Campbell, Craig Biggio, Clyde Drexler, Rudy Tomjanovich, Nolan Ryan, Brian Ching, Carl Lewis, Warren Moon, Gordie Howe, J.J. Watt, Jeff Bagwell, Andre Johnson, Roy Hofheinz, Bum Phillips, Guy V. Lewis and Bill Yeoman) and argue about who belongs on the hypothetical “Mount Rushmore” of Houston sports. If you disagree (and we’re sure that you will), feel free to reach out to us on Twitter or Facebook to give us your Mount Rushmore or tell us why ours is stupid.
