Ep. 22: The Al Jazeera/ Peyton Manning hatchet job; Adam Coleman returns to talk Texans and Rockets; Kevin lists his 5-man NBA Franchise-Guy Team

In the last podcast of the 2015 calendar year, Austin, Kevin and Jeremy dive into the recent Al Jazeera report, “The Dark Side,” in which former British hurdler Liam Collins is sent “undercover” by the network to investigate the sale and use of banned substances by doctors connected to professional sports. The guys break down the video, a laughable attempt at journalism, and try to set the record straight regarding just how reliable and factual the widespread reports of Peyton Manning’s doping are [spoiler: not very].

Houston Chronicle and AP sports writer Adam Coleman (@_ColemanSports on Twitter) returns to the show — our first second-timer — to get into the Texans, following a 34-6 victory over the Tennessee Titans that has them in position to make a playoff run, despite their awful start. Coleman also gets into the inexplicable Rockets, and why they are such a conundrum, digging into some critical comments made by interim head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Coleman also previews the Texas Bowl between LSU and Texas Tech, which he will be covering.

Finally, Kevin puts on his NBA 2K16 fake-GM hat, and names his five-man All-NBA Franchise-Guy Team. If you were going to start a franchise from scratch tomorrow, which guy — at each of the five positions — would you want as your centerpiece? Kevin picked Steph Curry, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, but we’d be curious to hear your picks, too. Hit us up on Twitter or Facebook and let us know who your Franchise-Guy pick is.
